Robert Ruter was named the Mills Auto Center “Dealership Sales Consultant of the Year” for top sales in 2017.

Criteria for the top dealership award includes total sales, new vehicle sales, Guest Experience Excellence (GEE) Index (formerly Customer Service Index), and gross. Each category is calculated and ranked, and the salesperson with the top ranking is selected for the award.

Ruter’s automotive career started in 1994. He has been with Mills since it originally acquired the dealership in Willmar. He received a cash award and plaque that reads:

With appreciation for exemplary work and dedication to the highest standards of excellence.

Ruter is also among eleven Mills sales consultants who received awards for outstanding "Year to Date Guest Service Excellence (GEE)" in 2017 with an overall score of 96% or higher. It was Ruter’s 13th consecutive year to win this award with a score of 98.34%. He received a plaque that reads:

For constant attention to providing outstanding Guest service, the principal upon which our Company was founded.
